This week…
We are beginning our study of the Mass. Understanding the parts of the Mass and meanings of the responses will help the students begin to prepare their hearts to receive the miracle of the Eucharist this spring.
The students have been learning about paragraph structure and understand that every paragraph should have a beginning, middle, and end. We will be applying that structure to new writing pieces this week, by creating “How-To’s” and Opinion Paragraphs.
In Math, the students have done a great job adding two and three digit numbers; we are going to move on to subtracting this week. Review basic facts at home so that we can transition into regrouping with subtraction smoothly.
Every morning, we review and practice skip counting by 2’s. 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, 6’s, and 10’s. It is a lot of work, but we are becoming skip counting masters!
